RebaLeigh Handmade was born from a love of creating and desire to turn my hobby into a sustainable business. From the time I was little, handmade gifts were my expressions of love. Quilting became a way to reach across generations of women and pass down a love for handmade to others.I began with baby quilts and pillows and quickly started designing patterns as well. My first two patterns were born from my mother's Christmas quilt - read more about the stories behind my quilts on my quilt blog.
Meet the maker
I've been a maker my entire life - long ago, I quit defining myself by my career or hobbies as they are always changing! I've dabbled in everything from competitive rowing to music to rock climbing to woodworking and somehow always find myself sewing a little here and there. So it was no surprise that when I started working overnight shifts with a quilter that I was drawn in hook, line, and sinker. I'm never satisfied following directions, so it was less than a year before I had sketched out my own quilts!
Originally from the midwest, my husband and I now happily live in Colorado with our two little girls and look forward to taking them on family camping adventures when they are bigger. I'm grateful to now work part-time as a hospital pharmacist, spending the rest of my time with my family and creative interests. Work life balance is golden, if you are lucky enough to find it.
Be kind, to our planet and to one another.
